Over a three-year period, I worked on behalf of FAMCO (a private property owner) to complete required environmental reports and assessments, secure necessary permits, and manage the relocation of the historic Parsonage in Downtown Long Beach.
Relocation of the building was required in order to secure entitlements for a greater parcel, and to create open land for the development of nearly 300 new housing units for the Downtown community. This complex project required coordination with Metro Los Angeles in order to disassemble the building and crane its second story over an active light rail line.
The residence was relocated in 2018, and is currently in the process of being restored to its period of historic significance.
